Dr Lily Unger

Lily works for the Restoring Rivers and Catchments Team as a Project Officer, helping to deliver and support improvements on the ground.

She completed her PhD researching lake restoration in Madagascar using a specialised technique called palaeolimnology. This technique used lake sediment cores to reconstruct the history of several lakes and catchments related to the critically endangered Madagascar Pochard.

Growing up in London, her obsession with freshwater habitats started with her garden pond and in her spare time Lilly loves finding new urban nature spots to explore.
