Lewis is a catchment manager within the Science and Partnerships team at the Trust. He is responsible for hosting the River Mole catchment partnership and overseeing the Trust’s projects in the catchment.
Before joining the South East Rivers Trust, he was a research biologist specialising in wildlife conservation (primarily in freshwater environments) and in the use of environmental DNA (eDNA) for monitoring biodiversity. He has held positions at several leading universities and also with the United States Geological Survey.
As a keen angler, paddleboarder, and kayaker, Lewis also loves to spend his free time in and around rivers. He also likes to explore the many great dog walking spots around the south east with his cocker spaniel Ted.
